St. James is dedicated to assisting parents with their children’s faith formation. Our Religious Education program is family-based faith formation.
Our purpose and call is to support and assist you as you train up your child in the way that they are to go in relationship with the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit of God (Proverbs 22:6).
Religious Education – Pre-K (3-6 yr old) thru 5th Grade
Our Religious Education Ministry strives to support parents in their effort be the primary educator’s of their children’s faith for Pre-K through 5th Grade. Find Out More…
Sunday Morning Classes are held for children who are 3 years old, by August 1st, through children who are entering the 5th grade. Classes begin in September and end in May.
Wednesday Evenings we offer additional class time for children in First through Fifth grades. Classes begin in September and end in May.
First Reconciliation and First Communion
In our diocese, in order to receive the sacraments of first reconciliation or communion a child must meet the following criteria:
*Must be at least 7 years old
*Must be in at least the 2nd grade
*Must have had a least one year prior religious instruction and formation, whether in a Catholic school or a parish school of religion or in a qualified program of home study. Find Out More…
