Because We Care

From time to time we see people in need, whether it’s a need for food, gas, diapers or rent money.

If you see someone in need here on our St. James campus on the weekend, encourage them to come to the Parish Office on Monday.

We here at St. James have a process to provide for some of these needs. This process begins when the person(s) in need come in to talk with one of our church staff.

Because we work very closely with LOVE INC, both financially and with volunteers, we are able to connect people in need with the many resources available through this ministry – much more than we as individuals could provide. “A hand up rather than just a hand out.”

Love INC is a partnership of Christian churches that have joined together to provide volunteer and financial support for the operation of Love INC, so that together we can help the poor in coordinated, tangible ways that demonstrate God’s love.

Last year Love INC of Clay County provided assistance to 7,325 individuals and 449 residents were given rent or utility assistance.
