ST. JAMES PASTORAL COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES

Monday, January 12th, 2026

The Pastoral Council January meeting was called to order at 7:04 p.m. by Chairperson Eddie Baker. Council Members present were Fr Lac, Kevin Casel, Dee Rosekrans, Joan Peluso, Jeff Ridder, Chris Fullinwider, Cindi Lamas, Scott Kollasch and Chuck Koesterer. Scott Kollasch started the meeting with a prayer.

Old Business

School Board Representive –First meeting on January 26th

By-Law Changes – Changes accepted to By-Laws

Amend Article III, Section 6; 4, B to eliminate all in the parenthesis (A preferred option would be to have the minutes of each meeting scribed by a non-member of the council and then given to the secretary for disbursement)

New Business

Council New Members – Three Council Members have expiring terms in July 2026 and will need to be replaced.
Council Members will speak at all masses the weekends of February 14/15 and 21/22 to inform the parish of the vacancies and to ask for nominations to fill the positions. Information tables and opportunities to signup will be available on those weekends
Discernment Leader – Discussion was held to name the next individual to lead the new candidates in the Discernment process. Chairperson Eddie Baker will contact individuals discussed to confirm interest. Many thanks to Jay Meacham who has done exemplary work in this position for the last four years.

Projects to Serve the Parish in the Upcoming Year

-Blessing of the Home Kit for the New Year

– St James Feast Day Celebration (July 25th)

Closing Pray – Fr Lac

The Council’s next meeting is Monday, February 9th at 7:00 p.m. in the AV Conference Room. If you have any ideas or concerns for the Council, please contact Fr. Lac or Chairperson Eddie Baker. If you would like to attend the meeting, please contact Eddie Baker no later than Wednesday, February 4th.
