Thank you all for your dedication, sacrifice and prayers. Together with God we are meeting our goals! Make sure to read our newsletters for current updates!
We need more space! That was the number one issue that St. James’ parishioners expressed in the Town Hall meetings and the survey in 2012. This came out of the growing realization that we are a growing parish and there is only so much we can do with the space we have.
In February 12 of 2012, the Pastoral Council, Finance Committee and Stewardship Committee voted to proceed with plans for a capital campaign to address the space issues of the church. Over the last 2 years, we have had many meetings, gathered much information and completed much of the planning stages to start the process of this campaign.
At the start of 2014, with a renewed spirit and commitment to build and grow upon our strong foundation, over 150 parishioners joined to discuss our Master Plan, specifically the new parking lot and the future of St. James Capital Campaign. Our 2 goals for 2014 have been completing the new parking lot and paying for it in full as well as Paying Off existing parish debt accrued from past projects. In September of 2014, the parking lot was completed! As we head into winter, the landscaping is being completed. And together, through prayer and and sacrifice, we are well on our way to paying off our remaining debts!
It is our goal to keep the community of St. James updated every step of the way. Since 2012, we have sent out a Capital Campaign Newsletter as well as weekly updates in the Bulletin.
