Fr. Timothy 25th Anniversary
Celebrating 25h Anniversary of Ordination
It is with great joy that I invite you to join with me as I celebrate my 25th anniversary of ordination. In honor of this joyous occasion, I will be celebrating with Masses in each of the four parishes where I have served. My ordination date was August 18, 2001, and I will begin the celebration on August 15/16 with Masses at here at St. James. I will then travel to St. Francis Xavier, St. Joseph on August 22/23 and continue to St. Patrick’s, Sedalia on Saturday, August 29. I will conclude the celebration with Masses at St. Mary’s, Centerville, IA, and St. Patrick’s, Melrose, IA, on September 26/27. After each of the Masses, there will be a Reception and an opportunity to visit. I look forward to returning to each of these parishes that have been an important part of my ministry and priestly life. Each parish holds many special memories for me that I will forever cherish.
As I now serve as Spiritual Director at Precious Blood Renewal Center, Liberty, someone asked me if I miss parish life. I told them that what I miss most is the people. I miss the daily and weekly interactions with so many of you. I miss hearing your life stories of joys as well as challenges and heartaches. But I’m not totally cut off as I am often invited to “fill-in” and celebrate Mass when other pastors need to be away. As I told one church, “If you want me to come back, just tell your pastor to take another vacation.” I cherish the many friendships that have developed over the years and the many ways I am able to remain connected.
I am forever grateful to God for the call to serve and the many wonderful people that God has allowed me to serve and to be a part of each of your lives.
Thank you for walking alongside me and being a part of my life. May we meet each other often in prayer.
Know that you are always in my prayers,
Fr. Timothy Armbruster, C.PP.S.
