Phil Baumert Update: Phil stated that in the meeting that he and Sherri had with Father Mike, that Father Mike wants this to be a Pastoral Council.

Sherri Porterfield Update: Sherri suggested having a retreat for the members of the Pastoral Council, suggested having a Thank You Potluck in the fall for Ministry Leaders.

Committee Reports: By-Laws Revision: Sherri discussed the difference between a Pastoral Council and a Parish Council. Sherri presented revisions to Articles I and II of the By-Laws and the changes were approved with minor revisions from the Pastoral Council. Yvette will replace Patrick in reviewing By-Laws with Phil and Sherri. The By-Laws will be changed to strive to have 2 members of the Pastoral Council be high school students in order for the Pastoral Council to better serve that age demographic.

Old Business: Dan discussed POC recruitment and encouraged members of the Pastoral Council to reach out to parish members who may be a good fit for the POC Ministry.

New Business: Jay Meecham has 8 members who are going through the Discernment process to possibly join the Pastoral Council. Jay would like to know what qualities the Pastoral Council would like to see in the new members to replace skill-sets from outgoing members. Yvette and Patrick requested clarification from Father Mike regarding use of the Social Hall and the Church Hall. Father Mike stated that the Social Hall is for social events and the Church Hall is for religious events, and the new conference area will be the destination for events but will not be ready for another 2 years. Black Light Bingo will be held on July 22, 2023 and 4 ministries will assist with this effort. For the Holy Thursday Mass, Sandy is requesting for a member of the Pastoral Council for the washing of the feet.
