A Second Question about Sound

Q.

We read the comment in the bulletin about not being able to hear at mass. We’ve heard–including us–that the organ/piano are so loud you can’t hear the cantor. We also hear “why does it echo so much.” We sometimes think why people can’t hear is because of these sounds. Yes, people do have different speaking volumes but loud noises are just as overwhelming as soft voices. Is there a way to adjust these volumes and echos?

Thank you for your comment.  As previously stated before, we continue to work every Sunday adjusting our sound to the needs of the space.  This is a larger space without carpet or padded pews, so the sound is naturally more live.  Hearing assist devices will available in the coming weeks.  Thank you
