Did you know that the Back to School Season is the 2nd largest selling season for retailers ?

This means that prices for back to school items, whether it be school supplies, clothing, and shoes, are incredibly competitive this time of year.

And, what’s even better is that this coming Friday, Saturday, and Sunday (Aug. 2 – 4), no sales tax will be charged on certain “back to school” items.

Here’s what qualifies:

• any article of clothing/shoes $100 or less per item
• school supplies up to $50 per item
• computer  software up to $350; personal computers up to $1,500
• computer peripheral devices $1,500 or less.
• graphing calculators $1,500 or less

With school starting very soon, here are 4 things to do right now to get ready for the fall term:

1 – Take an inventory of what your kids already have.
2 – Make a list of what you need to buy.
3 – Buy HOPE Gift Cards for all of the stores where you plan to shop.
4 – Go shopping and save while the sales are still running, prices are low, and  your purchases will be tax free.
