Office Closed ~ Martin Luther King Day

Martin Luther King, Jr. was a devout Christian, giving witness as a Baptist minister, a preacher of the Good News. We honor him especially in his testimony to the dignity of each human being, that we are all God’s children. Racism and practices of discrimination are plainly contrary to teaching of Jesus. He calls for the defeat of racism of all kinds, not just against African Americans, but against Hispanics, Asians, people all nationalities, those categorized as LGBTQ. His testimony should be our testimony and the testimony of the Church: treating each person with respect and dignity.
