Betsy Lewey

I was born in Austin, TX and my family moved to Liberty in the 1960’s. As a child, I went to St James school and church on Water Street. My husband Doug and I have always lived in Liberty. We met in high school and he became a member of our parish when we were married at St. James in 1981.

We have 4 children and 2 grandchildren with more on the way! I have worked as an RN at Children’s Mercy and Liberty hospitals, and for the past 23 years, I have been with KU cardiology in our outpatient clinic.

I have been a lector and have played in the handbell choir for many years and now also serve as a communion minister. Doug and I have been active in other ministries in the church throughout the years and look forward to continued involvement in the church.
