Jay Meacham has reached out to 5 Parish members (Suzie Olson, Kevin Casel, Eddie Baker, Larry Bergeron, and Sherrie Porterfield)  who are interested in going through the Discernment Process. Libby will run the May 2022 Pastoral Council Meeting since Dan Bacon will not be here.

Libby Hernandez Update:

The Saint James School just finished a 5 year accreditation for the school, run by the Diocese. The School is hoping to get the School Advisory Board up again next year. Libby will be starting a Social/Emotional Curriculum. The School is working on the School Front Office Safety. The School Principal, Jen Smith, stated that the school is hiring teachers. Trivia Night will be held on April 30. It is $100 to sponsor a round. The Annual Golf Tournament will be held on May 5. Trivia Night and the Golf Tournament are fundraisers for the school.

Safety Committee:

Betsy brought up a concern if there was a list of First Aid People, that the church may be exposed to liability. Katie, Betsy, and Lou will discuss and come up with a response. Phil Baumert stated that in an emergency situation, people should not be in the street and should stay out of the way. Lou had a question about who can operate a fire extinguisher for a small fire. Betsy mentioned that, in an emergency, it may be best to let women, children, and the elderly, leave the Church first. The Safety Presentation will be presented in the Fall. The POC’s need to be identified.

 New Business:

Dan suggested to revamp the Pastoral Council Bylaws on the Website. The Ethnic Festival is a possibility next year. Father Mike stated that Baptism Classes will be online for a while.
