Deacon Chuck Update:

Advent is in 2 weeks, at which time distribution of the Precious Blood will resume. The church is looking for Eucharistic Ministers to distribute the Host and the Precious Blood, and will train those who are interested in becoming Eucharistic Ministers. We have approximately 10 RCIA’s.

Libby Hernandez Update:

School report – Things are going well. The school had the most successful auction so far. The Knights of Columbus helped. $45,000 will go to teachers. Libby is the school’s social worker/councilor and goes into classrooms twice a month and provides lessons to provide social and emotional guidance. With the isolation of Covid, some kids weren’t making social progress. Libby is working with students and helping to improve their mental health after isolation because of Covid. Nolan Smith serves lunches and does the required clean up for meal preparation and serving.

Sherri Porterfield Update:

Sherri discussed Catechism in a Year, run by Father Mike Schmitz on Youtube: 30 minute videos for 10 weeks. Sherri will work with Judy to put in the bulletin.

Yvette Lopez Update:

The high school group is going well.

Father Mike Update:

The Advent Giving Tree is going well. We are moving into the Advent season and will soon be distributing the Precious Blood. We will work with the school in case any Fish Frys fall on dates when school will be in session.

POC Ministry:

Father Mike will create a separate committee. We will work on recruitment and develop brochures.

Emergency Operations Ministry:

Betsy and Eddie have reached out to potential members and Betsy has had 8-10 people approach her with interest.

Ministry Survey:

Judy will finish this. The theme is “Feeding the Hungry”. There will be a first page and then show the financials.
